Currimundi Lake is a picturesque part of the Sunshine Coast . The lake is a tidal estuary which offers excellent fishing and protected swimming for young children and toddlers. About 200 metres away is Currimundi Beach, a favourite surf beach in the area which is patrolled during school holidays.
Ride the surf, fish or canoe on the lake, walk in the environmental park, or simply sit back and watch the tide roll in, whilst relaxing on the massive sun drenched balconies.
SURFING: An easterly facing beach. A good bank can usually be found near the lake mouth. A receding tide can make the waves stand up. Inexperienced surfers take care on strong tides.
FISHING: There is some great fishing to be had. Bring a yabbie pump, cast net or bait net to catch live bait. Great catches of all the river species and ocean species taken all year round. During the holiday season fish the mornings or evening to avoid crowds.
WALKING: Take a walk along the rivers edge, through the environmental park or to the beach.
